Renowned Psychology Expert Joins the Compassionate Divorce Team

Compassionate Divorce is proud to welcome Dr. Beth Wanamaker to its team.

Dr. Wanamaker has been working with separating and divorcing families since 2007 and she worked as a mediator for the Sonoma County Superior Court for more than a decade before starting a private practice in her community.

Prior to her work in family law, she spent several years as a social worker, and while completing her post-doctorate residency at a local psychiatric hospital, she gained extensive experience in the treatment of psychiatric disorders and the use of psychiatric medications.

Since 2020, she has worked with the children of divorcing and separating families as a clinical visitation supervisor, and also as a co-parenting educator and coach.

“It is truly rewarding to contribute to a process that not only protects clients’ interests (and their children’s) but also promotes integrity, respect, and family-specific results. I am passionate about this work and proud to be a part of this amazing team,” said Dr. Wanamaker.

Dr. Wanamaker’s expertise only adds to Compassionate Divorce’s ability to prioritize emotionally healthy and solutions-focused outcomes for families in transition.

“With over a decade of experience, conducting over a thousand mediations with couples as a Superior Court mediator specific to child custody disputes, Dr. Wanamaker offers a wide array of services to our clients. She enjoys meeting children and has shown a natural ability to support all family members during difficult circumstances, so they can make good decisions,” said co-founder and certified family law specialist, Joann Campoy.

“Dr. Wanamaker enjoys a well-earned, excellent reputation based on her expertise in formulating parenting plans with a focus on children and their developmental needs, even in the most difficult circumstances. Her transition to Compassionate Divorce has been seamless, and her enthusiasm to work with our families is infectious,” said co-founder and licensed psychologist, Jeff Kahn, Ph.D.
